Sleep Paralysis
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis
This entity over a period of years first attacked my mother, then after a challenge from my father attacked him and years later it attacked me.
Modern sciences try to explain it away by saying it's sleep paralysis, I say that's BULLSHIT!!! It only happened twice with me, but both time I felt the thing crawling into my bed then straddle me. It felt like my arms were pinned, it weight pressing down on my chest and something covering my mouth and nose trying to smother me. I didn't panic, but even through the darkness illuminated by moonlight and my alarm clock glare I could see no one, even tough it felt like a man on top of me. I could still move my legs and began to struggle.
The first time it just seemed to phase out when I start resisting. The second time I was even more prepared to fight back. I swung my leg in a Indian leg take down I learned as a boy wrestling. The thing fell to the side and just as quickly as I reached for the shotgun by my bed (I felt that if it could grab me I could grab it and hurt it also) I literally heard footsteps racing down my hallway. I checked the house to find every door locked and windows intact.
To this day I don't know what it is. My mother dispelled it attacking her by calling the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. My father physically fought with it and also threw it against a wall and it never bothered him again. After my second bout with it I have had no more attacks. In searching the web trying to determine what it was I've found the Cauchemar to be the closest to what I think occurred.
