Possible Pole Shift and Earth Changes

Concerning earth changes I was asked about the best or safest places to go. There is no where that any one can point to and say that this place will be totally safe (I can’t). At best we can make educated guesses and follow instincts and inner guidance in choosing a safer place. It is not my purpose; plan, aim or goal to start telling people to go here or there and you will be safe. I have ideas, but nothing concrete as of yet. At this point all I am trying to do is raise consciousness levels. “Wake up, be aware, listen, observe and prepare” that is all I’m saying.

My first concern would have to be the topography and logistics of the land I would consider retreating to. For very obvious reasons you wouldn’t want to build it in a flood plane. I don’t mean just the obvious ones either. Some areas flood every time it rains; others flood after very heavy rainfalls. Then there are the 100, 200, 500, 1,000 and 10,000-year floods to consider. All you need is one to wipe you out no matter how rare an occurrence they are.

A lot of people have the misconception that a 100-year flood will only happen once in a hundred years. That is the wrong way to look at it. A 100-year flood has a 1 in 100 chance of happening every year. Ask some of the people living in the Midwest in 1993 and 1996 about that.

Something else that most people never consider is that wherever there is a body of water there is a chance of flooding. Have you ever tried to carry a full bucket or glass while walking fast or running? In California during some of their major earthquakes do you know what cause considerable damage to some homes? Water… from swimming pools! So living next to a river, stream, lake or even a large pool can put your home site at risk.

Elevation above sea level is something that would be of prime concern to me. The same psychics that are predicting earth changes also recommend elevations 500 meters or 700 feet above sea level. The Appalachians that run from North Alabama to Canada have elevations that run from 1,000 to over 6,000 feet. I would tend to prefer something above a thousand feet myself. Just because it’s a mountain that doesn’t necessarily mean that I would consider it safe.

Various forces over the eons have caused mountains to form. Mountains built due to volcanic activity in the past are a definite no – no. Remember Mt. St. Helens. Also look at the Rockies see some of their sheer rises of thousands of feet? Some of them were formed violently due to Teutonic plates shifting and colliding with great forces. I believe that some of those same forces that happened in the past could very well come into play in the future. So such forces could very well level those mountains built by such forces. With that said I still look at the Rocky Mountains as a viable place to consider relocating to in order to ride out possible earth changes. I also like the Ozarks Mountains of north western Arkansas and south western Missouri far enough away from the New Madrid earthquake fault zone.

On the Internet there is a USGS site http://earthquake.usgs.gov/ that shows recent earthquakes in the USA visit the site when you have a chance. Take note of the areas of dark green and brown. Also notice the areas of lighter greens and gold. The areas of dark green are lowlands or flood plains. The brown areas are mountainous regions that were formed by that Teutonic plate movement that I just described. The areas of gold on the map are the kinds of locations that I would consider for retreating to. These tend to be areas at least 1000 feet above sea level and above that.

While I don’t particularly see the Appalachians as supremely ideal due to their close proximity to the major population centers of the east coast. Living where I am now, I see that area as being reachable within eight hours. I see eight hours as doable after an event has occurred (better if you could be there before). Without Yellowstone volcano erupting the area I like best is Idaho and the eastern part of Montana and the western part of North Dakota, but it would take 28 or hours of fast hard driving to get there. That in it self would make it a bit more difficult to reach.

That area is more sparsely populated. After any kind of collapse or cataclysm people will be the most dangerous threat you’ll have face or deal with. Desperate people are very dangerous and never underestimate them. If I had to choose between being encircled by a hundred hungry man eating tigers and ten desperate humans to face in a fight for my life I’d choose the tigers hands down each and every time. I repeat people are capable of thought, cunning, deception and ingenuity when it comes to killing they are nature’s deadliest creatures, people are very dangerous!  It is not currently earthquake active (although there is no such thing as an earthquake safe place, they can and will happen anywhere.). As far as I know there are few nuclear power plants in that general area (I don’t know about military installations such as nuclear missile silos).

While the winter climate there is very harsh and sever, in the event of a 20-degree pole shift (as predicted) the climate there will become like California’s is now. Food for thought, about people again, large cities and huge urban areas I would avoid all together. There will be thousands of people there that have made no preparations what so ever. Some are solely dependent on the government to take care of them now and will expect the same after a cataclysm. Lots of these people have never worked a day in their lives and feel the life and society and you owe them their existence.

Have you ever seen mobs rioting? I don’t mean just on TV. I have and it isn’t a pretty site. Mob mentality is that of the least intelligent person there. The mass IQ of a mob is reduced to that of it densest members. Violence and brutality run unchecked and logic is absent. Remember the LA riots, those people burned and looted their own community! Were those the actions of logical rational people? Look at the rioting in Jakarta, Indonesia. What did raping and looting have to do with protesting a dictator’s rule? Hundreds of people died there. As if that wasn’t enough imagine what war zones cities will become with criminal gangs running unchecked and vigilantes taking charge.

Then also consider how unlivable cities will become if their basic infrastructure collapses? Can you see yourself living in the midst of broken gas, sewer, water and electrical lines? There may not be anyone around to shut things down and repair them. How long living under such conditions do you think it would take before the outbreak of disease? You can’t pick up a gun and fend off virulence!  Now, for the coup de grace concerning my distaste for cities as places of survival is Martial law.

Have you considered that after a major disaster that martial law might be imposed? Civil law and constitutional rights are immediately gone! Strict curfews are imposed; your movements are limited and restricted. You violate martial law and you can be shot right on the spot with out due process of any kind. I have yet to hear of any dead person protesting an error in someone else’s judgment. Okay, lets assume that you were very well prepared in you city dwelling. Do you know that under martial law you can be forced to evacuate to a “relocation” center and leave it all behind?

The provisions that you were so wise and fortunate to store up for such a day (you do have them stored up right?) could be confiscated for redistribution to others (there are already presidential executive orders stating as much under “emergency powers”). You have little if any rights to personal and private property under martial law. If some military authority decides; you can be removed forcefully form your home and forced to live on the streets or shipped off to a “relocation center” (concentration camp). Yes, this can happen in America. Remember how the government interred thousands of Japanese-Americans in the so-called interest of national security. The ability to do so is already in place in many areas of our country.

Under the emergency powers act the President can suspend the constitution and impose strict martial law and those freedoms that we value so highly are gone in an instant. It’s already law and congress doesn’t have to approve it. In fact one of the president’s emergency powers act powers is to be able to suspend congress in times of national crisis.  At the end of this I will include some information about FEMA and the President’s emergency powers. So, to sum this all up, I don’t view cities as places of high survivability. I would much prefer a local at least a couple of hours away from a major metropolitan area. I would prefer a location that is convenient distance to a small community.

If nothing ever happens earth change wise you will still want to enjoy the things that civilization can provide. Yet if the shit really hits the fan you would want to be able to head to your safe haven to survive. For long term survival under the worst conditions I would like to be a part of a settlement of say 30 – 50 people. Yes, a number as high as 500 people could work together as a survival commune and prosper. Smaller is better. You still want to be able to manage your resources and logistics without things getting out of hand. Smaller is also better when it comes to escaping the notice of “Big Brother”.

Contrary to some of the militia minded extremists out there, you can’t fight “Big Brother”. I didn’t agree with him, but David Koresh proved that for the world to see. He would have been okay if he had remained low key and low profile. The day you get “Big Brother’s” notice is the day your game hand is called and its time to fold. Right, wrong or otherwise, you will always lose when you go up against “Big Brother”. You can’t call in artillery and air support not to mention heavy armor and shoulder fired heavy weapons, “Big Brother” can and will. Governments down throughout history have proven to be the best and deadliest killers of humankind.

Most [of these laws] remain a a potential source of virtually unlimited power for a President should he choose to activate them. It is possible that some future President could exercise this vast authority in an attempt to place the United States under authoritarian rule.
While the danger of a dictatorship arising through legal means may seem remote to us today, recent history records Hitler seizing control through the use of the emergency powers provisions contained in the laws of the Weimar Republic."
